Terms & Conditions

These Terms apply to your access to and use of the GPS Area mobile app and this support website. By downloading, opening, or using GPS Area, you agree to these Terms and to any terms shown by Apple during download, purchase, or subscription.

If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you already purchased a subscription, manage cancellation or refund options through Apple.

Apple Standard EULA and app license

GPS Area is licensed, not sold. Unless a custom license agreement is provided by the developer, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app. These Terms add app-specific rules and disclosures. If there is a conflict, Apple’s required terms control where required by Apple or applicable law.

• You may use GPS Area for personal, agricultural, real-estate planning, field note, and general measurement workflows on Apple devices you own or control.
• You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, abuse, or interfere with the app or its services except as allowed by law.
• You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple Account, and exported files secure.

GPS measurements are estimates

Accuracy can vary based on GPS signal, satellite visibility, buildings, trees, terrain, weather, device sensors, network conditions, map data, and user input. Before making financial, legal, construction, safety, or property decisions, verify measurements with a qualified professional or official records.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

GPS Area may offer “GPS Area Pro” subscriptions, including monthly and annual plans, with prices, trial availability, duration, and renewal terms shown in the App Store purchase sheet before purchase.

• Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Apple explains that free or discounted trial subscriptions should be canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want renewal.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or through Apple’s subscription management pages.
• Deleting the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
• Use “Restore Purchases” in the app if you reinstall or change devices while using the same Apple Account.

Ads in the free experience

GPS Area may show Google AdMob app open, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are optional ad experiences that should be started by a user action. Interstitial or app open ads may appear at natural breaks and are not intended to interrupt active measurement.

Ads are provided by third-party ad networks and may link to external content. We are not responsible for third-party ad content, claims, landing pages, or services. See the Privacy Policy for ad data and tracking disclosures.

Privacy, local data, and third-party services

Your use of GPS Area is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The app uses or supports Apple services such as Core Location, MapKit, WeatherKit, StoreKit, and iOS sharing; Google Firebase and AdMob; and optional Meta/TikTok attribution if configured. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

• You are responsible for the information you save, export, or send through support.
• Do not submit someone else’s private or sensitive information unless you have permission.
• Do not use GPS Area to violate law, trespass, harass, surveil, or infringe anyone’s rights.

Availability, warranties, and liability

GPS Area is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, exact measurement results, error-free operation, or that every map, weather, POI, ad, subscription, or export feature will always work.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPS Area and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, property disputes, failed measurements, or decisions made using the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply to you.

Updates to the app or these Terms

We may update GPS Area and these Terms to add features, improve safety, support ads/subscriptions, or meet legal and platform requirements. The latest version posted on this page applies when you use the app after the update date.
